No less impressive is its 62 m² sustainable social housing prototype, designed with the ability to double and with an initial cost of 120,000 Mexican pesos. Unveiled at the Chicago Architecture Biennale in 2015, this groundbreaking design offered an ingenious solution to the problem of affordable housing.
Tatiana Bilbao's achievements have been recognized with a number of prestigious awards and honors. From the Kunstpreis Berlin in 2012 to being named an Emerging Voice by the Architecture League of New York in 2010, and the LOCUS Foundation Global Award for Sustainable Architecture in 2014, her ability to meld architectural creativity with sustainability has left an indelible mark on the field.
