Casa del Monte by TACO Taller de Arquitectura Contextual is located in the charming city of Valladolid, in the beautiful state of Yucatán, is a truly unique residence, meticulously designed by the prestigious contextual architecture workshop, known as "TACO". This home was conceived with the intention of providing a lucky couple with an immersive experience in the lush wild landscape of southeastern Mexico. More than just a house, it is a refuge that invites introspection and reflection, offering intuitive functionality in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, guaranteeing an unforgettable vacation experience.
TACO's design philosophy is reflected in every aspect of this architectural masterpiece. Privacy, acoustics, solar orientation and prevailing wind patterns were meticulously considered to ensure maximum comfort for its inhabitants. In addition, concepts perfected in previous projects were applied, such as the sense of belonging, the connection of the user with their environment and the use of natural resources to promote sustainability and minimize environmental impact.
The construction is raised on a platform designed to preserve the natural terrain and prevent the intrusion of unwanted animals. This platform also simplified the construction of the pool, since the underlying terrain was rocky and excavations were impractical.
The pool is strategically located in the shade of a majestic pre-existing tree, accessible through an open terrace that extends from the interior social area. This double-height space houses a kitchen, a cozy living room and a staircase that leads to a loft that functions as a bedroom. Under the loft, there is generous storage space, a bathroom with an outdoor shower and an external staircase that connects to the entrance of the house. The housing platform houses a cellar and the engine room. As a whole, the covered spaces total an area of 42 square meters.
What makes this architectural gem even more fascinating is that it is available for rent through the Airbnb platform. For a price of $2,400 per night, you can enjoy this wonderful residence, which has a room with a comfortable double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a full bathroom, access to high-speed Wi-Fi, private parking, and a security system. air conditioning to guarantee your comfort at any time of the year.
